The Staffordshire Police Authority is looking to appoint a dynamic and strategic thinking Chief Executive to work with it to ensure that the challenges of the future are met through the successful delivery of our Communities First Strategy.
Police Authority Chairman, David Pearsall, said "This is a big job with big challenges which requires an inspirational leader committed to building on our positive and honest relationships between the Authority and the Force, and with our stakeholders and partners, to help keep the communities of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent safe and reassured.
We are looking for someone with a track record of corporate leadership that shows they can deliver success and take on this exceptional opportunity. There are many new challenges ahead for both the Authority and the Force over the next few years and the time is right to appoint a new Chief Executive to help us to meet those challenges head-on".

The successful applicant will take up the post in the autumn when current incumbent Alan Wallis will retire.
Mr. Wallis, aged 63, who has held the post since 2007 and was previously Deputy Chief Executive from 2004, said "I have loved every moment of my time with Staffordshire Police Authority, latterly as Chief Executive, through a period of significant change. It has been challenging but exceptionally rewarding. The time has now come for a change and I shall be wishing my successor every success in the role".
