After thirty-five years service in the Royal Air Force, Leigh became the first Director of the Derbyshire Community Foundation.
He is currently the Chair of Trustees of a charity providing services for children and young people, some with special needs, and their families.
Leigh is in his tenth year as an Independent Member of the Police Authority.
